01 · Shipping & timing
Routes, delivery windows and milestone updates.
How long does UK to Zimbabwe delivery take?
Our standard estimated delivery window is 45–50 days from UK dispatch to Zimbabwe delivery. This is an estimate rather than a guaranteed date. Vessel schedules, port handling at Walvis Bay, customs and border processing in Botswana and Plumtree, and local delivery arrangements can extend the timeline.
Which route will my shipment use?
Shipments are normally routed through Walvis Bay before moving into Zimbabwe and the wider SADC region. We confirm the sailing and delivery plan in your quote because the route depends on the cargo, destination and available space.
Will I receive updates while my goods are in transit?
Yes. We provide progress updates at key milestones, including collection or drop-off, shipping, port arrival, customs and onward delivery. Border and port timings can change, so updates are the best source for your live estimated arrival.
Do you deliver outside Zimbabwe?
Yes. We arrange route-specific delivery across the SADC region, including destinations such as Zambia, Botswana and South Africa. Share the exact destination in your enquiry so we can confirm the route, timing and final-mile charges.
02 · Pricing & charges
Guide prices, additional fees and quote validity.
Are the prices on the shipping rates page final?
No. The published rates are guide prices for common items and are shown in GBP. Your confirmed quote may change based on dimensions, weight, packing, collection requirements, destination, route, vehicle load, customs and carrier charges.
Do port delivery charges and collection fees apply?
Yes. Port delivery charges and collection fees apply separately to the published guide prices. Customs duties, taxes, border processing, destination delivery and other third-party charges may also apply depending on the shipment and route. We will identify known additional charges in your quote.
Can you quote Zimbabwe to UK shipments?
Yes. Our online rate card is focused on UK to Zimbabwe shipping, but we can prepare a separate quote for Zimbabwe to UK or another route. Contact us with the collection point, destination and cargo details.
How long is a quote valid?
Guide prices and carrier costs can change with exchange rates, sailing availability and route charges. We will confirm the validity period and any assumptions on your written quote. Please ask us to reconfirm an older quote before paying or booking.
03 · Insurance & care
What is covered, how to prepare cargo and what to do if there is an issue.
Do you provide insurance for goods or vehicles?
No. Affinity Logistics does not offer insurance. If you need cover, arrange independent cargo or marine insurance before your goods are handed over and check exactly what the policy covers, including loading, port storage, transit and delivery.
What happens if my goods are damaged or missing?
Tell us as soon as possible and keep the packaging, photographs and delivery paperwork. Because we do not provide insurance, any recovery may depend on the carrier’s terms and any independent insurance policy you arranged. We can help document the issue and explain the next step.
How should I pack and label my shipment?
Use strong, secure packaging, protect fragile items, label every package with the consignee name and contact number, and provide an accurate packing list. Tell us about oversized, fragile, valuable, liquid, battery or hazardous items before collection so we can confirm whether they can travel.
Can I add items after my booking is confirmed?
Ask us before adding anything. Space, weight and customs paperwork may need to be recalculated, and additional items are only accepted once we confirm the revised quote and shipping plan.
04 · Booking & documents
How to start, what we need and when a booking is confirmed.
How do I start a shipment or request a quote?
Use our quote form, WhatsApp or phone. Tell us what you are sending, the number of packages, approximate dimensions or weight, the UK collection point, the Zimbabwe or SADC destination, and whether you need collection or delivery. We will come back with the next available option and a confirmed price to review.
Can you collect goods in the UK?
Yes, subject to the route and availability. Collection fees apply separately. You can also use our UK collection centre at Brights Yard, New Road, King’s Lynn, PE34 4QF. Please call before arriving so the team can prepare for you.
What documents might I need?
Requirements depend on the cargo. Common documents include an invoice or proof of purchase, a packing list, sender and consignee contact details, identification, and vehicle ownership or registration documents for vehicles. We will confirm the exact paperwork for your shipment before booking.
When is my booking confirmed?
An enquiry or guide price is not a confirmed booking. We will confirm space, the final quote, required documents and payment instructions in writing. Your booking is confirmed only after our team has accepted the booking and told you that it is secured.
05 · Vehicles & delivery
Vehicle sourcing, customs and final delivery expectations.
Can you source trucks, vehicles and machinery from the UK?
Yes. We source commercial vehicles, trucks, machinery, engines and parts from UK markets. Send us the make, model, age, mileage, budget and any required specification, and we will search available stock and outline the sourcing and shipping costs.
Do you handle customs clearance?
We coordinate customs documentation and clearance support for the shipment. Duties, taxes and official charges are not automatically included unless your quote says so. Customs decisions and processing times remain with the relevant authorities.
Can you deliver to my door?
We can arrange final delivery where the route and access allow. Share the full destination, contact person and any access restrictions so we can price the final mile correctly. Port delivery charges, collection fees and destination delivery charges may be separate line items.
